Leila creates "monsters" called Pixii which look like normal-sized human beings, but with really weird hair, powers that normally stay in one variety (i.e., a Pixii of flowers, a Pixii of water), wings they can fly with, and can appear to look like little girls all the way to adult women. Leila uses the Pixii to hunt for the reincarnated form of Princess Vanessae, a young girl princess whom Leila has a terrible grudge against.
Leila looks for past lives of various people to see if they were Princess Vanessae a long time ago. The past lives are in the form of small-ish gems of various color and types that reside inside a person's body. The Pixii or Leila remove a gem from a person through magic, which is extremely painful for the victim. Leila is looking for the Sacred Sapphire life gem, which belongs to Vanessae. Once she finds the carrier of that gem, her search will be complete.
