"Hey!! Get back here you two, leave it alone!" Souru said as he chased two young boys who decided to have some fun and torture a short-haired grey tabby down a dark alley. Reaching forward with his right hand, he was able to grab the collar of the boy closest to him.
"I said, leave it alone!" he said with a tone of seriousness in his voice. The boy in custody sprung loose and ran the away from Souru and the other boy. Souru's looks would intimidate anybody to stop what they were doing. His hair was naturally white and reached the middle of his back. His soft blue eyes looked peaceful, but they were also mysterious and troublesome, somewhat reflecting on his past.
"Why's this cat so important to you, mister?" the remaining boy asked.
"Picking on a helpless animal is cowardly - do what your friend did and leave now!" Souru responded.
"You don't scare me, mister," the boy said, with a hint of fright in his voice.
Souru stood to his full height of six feet, two inches and towered over the boy and the cat. "I said, leave the cat alone," he said as he raised his voice to intimidate the boy. His voice was deep and somewhat depressed, another reflection on his childhood.
"Fine. Keep the stupid cat - we were going to give it bath to take that stupid mark of its forehead," the boy said, refering to the odd triple triangle with a space in the middle. It was odd that a cat would have such a mark on its forehead. MEOOOOOOOW, scratch, scratch was heard as the cat clawed at the boy, causing him to take a step back and fall before getting up again and running past Souru.
"That will teach you not to attack poor defenseless animals"
Souru took a few steps towards the cat, picked him up and held him near his left shoulder. "You okay there, little buddy?" Souru asked as he petted the cat and walked back out onto the street. "Let's get you home and cleaned up. I promise this bath will be better then the one the brats planned to give you." He chuckled lightly as he started to walk back towards his car.
"Thank you," the cat said quietly, so Souru could barely hear him.
"I don't know, I found him when those two kids were chasing him - he seemed hurt," Souru told his wife Jaina about where he had gotten the grey tabby from.
"He's cute, and that little triple triangle mark on his forehead makes him look distingiished," Jaina said as she petted the grey tabby's chin.
"Yeah, he's the king of the cats," Souru joked.
"I resent that remark," the grey tabby spoke up, causing Souru to whip his head around and stare at the cat.
"E..... e...... excuse me? Did you just say something?" Souru asked, not believing what just happened.
"I said I resent the remark you made about me. I am just a guardian, not a king. My name is Apollo, and I've been sent to protect you," Apollo told Souru and Jaina.
"He..... he...... he talks." Souru's face whitened, his eyes widened and his jaw dropped. "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, a talking cat! I'm outta here!" he yelled as he started to fade out. WHAMMMM!!!!!! Three seconds later, Souru had two feet into the far wall on the other side of the room, his arms hanging back behind him.
"Owwww, stupid fader," Souru said as he fell on his back and knocked himself out.
"Oh, great. You think he would figure out that its easier not to do that," Jaina said aloud.
"He does that a lot?" Apollo asked.
"Yeah, this will be the ninth time hes done that this month," Jaina replied.
"I see. Looks like I got to teach him how to do it the right way - it will come in handy for him."
"Okay - try it again," Apollo told Souru. The past three hours had been tough on the two of them. Apollo had been trying to get Souru to transform into the legendary Corellian Knight. The Corellian Knight was known for helping people in situations. He was nice to everybody, but he had a down side. When ever anybody caused harm to his loved ones, his anger would take over and he would transform into a insane monster who showed no mercy. Apollo had to teach Souru to transform the right way; if he failed, a terror worse than any Sith would cover the land. Souru gave it his best, but he just couldn't do it. He had to have a need to become the Corellian Knight - he couldn't do it out of anger. Souru balled his hands into fists and took a deep breath. He let it out as he tilted his head back and let his hands drop done at his sides. He stood there for a few mintues and nothing happened. He took another deep breath and let it out, and this time some wind started up from his feet and trailed its way around him. Everything around him started to blow; his long platinum blonde hair blew straight up. The wind closed in on him, and a bright white light came from the center. The wind died down, and the light faded. Souru stood there... unchanged. He collapsed to one knee and started to sweat.
"It's not going to work, Apollo. We've been trying for hours and still nothing has happened. I'm getting a bit exhausted," Souru confessed to the grey tabby.
"Let's go get something to eat - it's on you." Apollo tried to get the end in without Souru noticing.
"Alright, let's go get something to eat, on me... D'oh!"
"So it does work on the weak-minded..."
"Watch it, cat, or I'll have you declawed or give you a bath or something you cats don't like."
Apollo stood there with a big sweatdrop above his head. "Touche."
Souru and Apollo were walking down a street full of street vendors. They had just come from a small lunch at a local restaurant and then decided to go look at all the exotic things people from a lot of different worlds were trying to sell. A woman's scream a few vendors down caused the two to look away from the Corusca gems they were looking at. They started to walk towards the scream and noticed a small boy running into a nearby alley with the woman's purse. They cornered the boy, but it was too dark to see the boy's face. He had black hair with a bit of red in it - that's what they could see from the street - and he also wore a a blue outfit.
"Hey kid, give that purse back or you're going to be in serious trouble," Souru demanded as he stepped closer to the boy.
The boy looked Souru straight in the eyes. They were a bright red, and they pierced though the darkness and Souru shivered at the sight of the boy's eyes. The boy then looked over at Apollo. "So if it isn't that cat with the weird triangle on his head, and you must be that old guy who rescued him," the boy said as he stepped towards Apollo. Apollo jumped up onto Souru's right shoulder and hissed at the boy.
"I am Koa Mizu. Your cat sparked some interest in me the other day - that symbol is for the power of Corellia, is it not?" the boy said as he dropped the purse to look over Apollo and Souru.
"What do you know about the power of Corellia?" Souru asked, wondering who this kid really was.
"You must be the Corellian Knight, Protecter of Corellia, and that cat, he must be you guardian to make sure you follow your destiny."
"How do you know all this?" Souru asked.
"All I have to say is... BLACK WATER MIST!!!!"
Koa raised his right hand towards Apollo as energy gathered in his palm. He then released it at Apollo. It impacted between Apollo and Souru's head, causing Apollo to fall off Souru's right shoulder onto the ground and slightly burning Souru's right side of his face. Souru fell to one knee and asked Apollo if he was alright. He then turned to look at the boy, but he was gone.
"Hey old man, if your cat goes, that means you don't become the Corellian Knight, and thats what I was sent here for." Koa's voice could be heard in the alley but he couldn't be seen.
Suddenly a foot impacted with the top of Souru's back, causing him to lurch forward and scream out in pain. He fell face first onto the ground. He tried hard to look behind him to see what was happening, but he was able to see Koa... holding Apollo by the back of the neck.
"You're finished, Corellian Knight. I have your cat and will terminate him to please my master."
"Let... him go... take me and leave the cat alone."
"Never, you're not in any condition to help him, you can't even transform."
I have to help him, I need to help him, Souru thought to himself.
"BLACK WATER MIST!"
Souru turned around only to see Apollo get hit by a weaker version of the boy's attack. The blast knocked him out.
"I told you to leave him alone," Souru said, a touch of anger in his voice.
"What are you going to do about it, old man?" Koa said as he started to laugh. Suddenly the air around the three started to get cooler and headed towards Souru. He glowed a bright yellow, then forced all the air away from his body. He stood there, looking different than before. Koa's mouth dropped, and his eyes lit up with fear. "Yo... You... You can't do this to me. My master will see to it that you are put out of your misery you..."
"SHUT UP!" Souru took a step closer to the boy and blacked out.
"Noooooooooo!!!!" was all he heard as he blacked out.
Several hours later, Souru and Apollo were back at their house, Souru with a wet cloth on his forehead and Apollo with a bandaid on his right side.
"And in other news: a mysterious figure wiped out half a city block today; the figure then disappeared into thin air. Police are now looking for a man with long..."
Apollo turned the radio off fast before Souru learned about what really happened. Only Apollo knew what really happened; Souru caused the explosion, he had transformed, but not the right way, and ended up killing about ten people. If Souru found out about what happened, he would never want to transform into the Corellian Knight, neither the good version or the bad.
"Get some rest, Souru. That kid really hit you hard," Apollo told Souru, but Souru was already ahead of him, one leg hung over the top of the couch, the other on the ground, his arms stretched above his head and he was overexaggerating his snoring.
"Good grief."
"And in other news: a mysterious figure wiped out half a city block today; the figure then disappeared into thin air. Police are now looking for a man with long platinum blond hair and a black outfit..."
The radio was turned off in the weird-looking spacecraft which hung above Corellia.
"Good work Souru - you destroyed my best fighter in one attack. I think its time I pay you a visit myself as the person you would least suspect..." the mysterious man said as he hid his real face behind the mask of Souru's father.
"Your father is the perfect cover in order to get close to you and destory you. Get ready Souru - I'm not going to take it easy on you. I am going to be the rightful owner of Corellia's power," the man said and started to laugh as his ship started to open itself up.
"I'm going to get you."
