It all started with a dream I had after my guardians were killed in that horrible car accident. I remember deep red fog and seeing two men in the dark. One was a little taller than the other; he had dark spiky hair, and he had just beaten a man with lighter hair. I've always had the weirdest dreams, but it felt so real, like a past life. That's when I started believing in things that were not common in this world.
I was being doted on too much by nannies and servants. I was only fifteen; I was big and no one liked me, no one even cared. Until he came into my life and changed it so dramatically. I was taken from New York City to West Capital City, Japan. You can say that I was still asleep. But right now, I'm in the wilderness.
"Pathetic little twerp! It's time to wake up, child of mine!" a man shouted before dropping me into a shallow pool of water.
The cool water woke me up, and I looked at the guy who yelled at me. He had dark spiky hair, black eyes, and wore blue spandex. "Who are you? Where am I?"
"You are in the wilderness, brat. It will help with your training," he said coldly.
"Training? What do you want me to do?" I asked him.
"First live, just live," he still said with ice in his voice.
"To live? That's my training?" I was frightened.
"I'm leaving you here for six months," he snapped.
"You're leaving me alone, but I'll die!" I whined.
"Listen kid, in this world you'll have to learn how survive - you've been pampered too much. Where's your pride and dignity? Also, I think you need to learn a little humility too!" To me, he looked awfully familiar - those eyes, that face, the voice. Somewhere, the name Ares came to my mind.
I shook it off and glared at him. "I don't wanna be here, take me home!"
"Sorry, but no. You have undeveloped powers that could be useful later. I will be training you after if you survive in this wilderness. That is, if you survive. After that, you're coming home with me. That means my girlfriend and I will be taking care of you from now on," he said with a smirk on his face.
"I don't have any powers!" I shouted.
"Don't take that tone with me or I'll send you to King Enma, how's that?" he snapped. The name of King Enma sounded familiar, then I remembered - he was the Japanese Judge of the Dead.
"Yes sir." He made me so mad, I hate him! I hate him! I hate him! Who is he to tell me what to do and to make matters worse, he's leaving me in the wilderness.
"My name is Vegeta, prince of the Saiyans!" he said.
"I'm Hisui, you rude, arrogant jerk, and what's a Saiyan?" I yelled.
"I know who you are, you little pest, and a Saiyan is a member of ancient warrior race. I am an alien from outer space, okay? So get out of the water and stop asking me stupid questions!" He was yelling at me now.
I got out of the water, and he gave me a metal case filled with various capsule-like objects. "What's this?"
"Since this place is surrounded by desert, and it's roaming with bloodthirsty beasts, it's only right if I give you these. You'll find a change of clothes, food, a capsule house, and a few weapons in here. Okay, so I'm letting you cheat a little - at least you won't be training with Piccolo. He had to let Kakarott's brat fend for himself in the same place where you are standing now."
I was confused. "Who are Piccolo and Kakarott?"
He laughed. "You don't know about Kakarott! Kakarott is my rival - he's a Saiyan like me, he has a son named Gohan and is married to this bigmouth named Chichi. Piccolo is a Namek - he trained Kakarott's brat after Kakarott died and was wished back with the dragonballs."
I stood there dumbfounded, but it began to make sense to me for some weird reason. "So what do those capsule things do?"
He began to growl. "Everyone that I know uses Hoi Poi Capsules; my future father-in-law invented them. So watch and learn!" Vegeta took one from the case, pressed the top, then threw the object, which turned into a big box. "Get out of those wet clothes and change into some dry ones. Don't complain, either - Bulma worked very hard on these. When you are done, press that button on the box, and it'll become a capsule again."
I opened the box and found a black spandex jumpsuit about my size. I put the jumpsuit and found a pair of white boots in another section of the box. I pressed a button on the box, and it turned back into a capsule again.
"The material is tough, it'll last for a while," he told me.
"It looks pretty good. Thank you, Vegeta," I said. Maybe he wasn't that bad after all.
He smirked. "Well, that's all I am going to give you. Goodbye for now, and make sure you stay alive." The man flew off, and I was stuck in the middle of nowhere by myself.
I began to cry, and I felt alone; no one was to hear my crying. "You're cruel, Vegeta! I hate you! I hope you never come back!"
A shadow loomed above me. For a minute I thought it was him, but I realized that I was staring into the gaping mouth of a dinosaur. I was scared, so I ran, but the dinosaur chased after me, until I got frustrated and felt some kind of energy flowing through me. I was in tune with nature - then it happened. I put my palms together and concentrated my energy. A beam of energy flowed through my hands, and I yelled, "Eat this!" Within seconds, the dinosaur was nothing but a pile of charred bones.
"Maybe he was right, I do have powers." I was amazed, and I felt proud.
I spent my six months living in the wild, losing most of my weight, but gaining a lot of muscle. I was surviving, fighting off beasts, climbing rocks and swimming rivers.
Then one afternoon, he came back. "I knew you'd still be alive, brat!" I heard a voice behind me.
I shot a ki blast at the alien prince behind me, but he batted the thing away like it was nothing. "You came back!"
"It seemed like you have improved, but now I will train you. I shall provide you with the training of a royal Saiyan Warrior, a member of the elite. You are about to be remade in my own image!" he said with a smile.
I sat on a rock. "Well, since I want to learn much more, I'll come with you. I'm not afraid of any training you will give me - I want to be as strong as you!"
He glared at me. "So, you have taken my offer."
I nodded. "I'm not afraid."
He smirked. "Oh, so confident are you. Fine, but before we start anything, you have meet some friends of mine. You'll like them very much." He picked me up in his arms and flew off.
We landed at a big yellow dome-shaped building. "Is this where you live?"
"Yes, I live here with my girlfriend." He put me down on the ground.
I saw an aqua-haired girl come out of a door, followed by a small black-haired boy, a woman with her black hair in a bun, a midget monk, and him! He was tall, with deep black eyes and wild black hair. But the face... I knew that face, I remember him in my dream. He was cold and cruel; he killed someone close to me in the dream. But was it a dream, or perhaps a past life?
I snarled at the guy in the orange gi. "I'm going to kill you!"
The guy chuckled. "You too, another name to add to my list. Wow, name the location and time and I'm there - after I beat Vegeta, that is."
"Quiet brat, only I have that privilege!" Vegeta snapped.
The group stood around me. The young boy shouted, "What do you have against my daddy?"
He looked pretty tough, but then I decided it was just a dream. "I'm sorry, I thought your dad was someone else. I haven't introduced myself. My name is Hisui, and Vegeta brought me here to train."
The man in the orange gi gave me a smile. "My name is Goku."
The man in my nightmare, his name was Yoru. But he looks exactly like him, but his features are soft and he's more gentle.
Training with Vegeta was brutal; there would be days when he wouldn't fight fair. He kept me away from sweets, and I was working out for days. He showed me how to control ki and how to fly.
Birthdays passed so quickly; Vegeta had finally accomplished going to Super Saiyan, and I have trained very hard to be as strong as him. I was also strong in mind and spirit, and a few of Goku's friends had helped me to be more attuned to nature and the power of the mind. Everything seemed to flow, like some kind of force.
When my twentieth birthday rolled around, Vegeta and Bulma made a big deal of it. I wore a kimono and went to a festival, but it was so much fun and I loved every minute!
After my twenty-fifth birthday, everything changed. Bulma had given birth to Trunks, which took most of Vegeta's attention away from me. Vegeta decided that my training was completed and that I could join the Z Senshi. But it never happened - Goku had died of a heart virus, and an evil scientist had created two evil androids.
Vegeta went to go and confront the androids on his own, but they were too powerful. I went to go help him; I fought for a while with Android 17, but he beat me too.
Android 17 laughed as he powered up for a blast; I had nothing left. As 17's blast came hurtling toward me, Vegeta blocked it, sacrificing himself in the process.
The others were all huddled on the side of building, hoping that the androids wouldn't spot them.
Bulma held Trunks tight to her and screamed, "No! Vegeta!" She loved him, I could feel it; now, she was going to lose him.
I watched Vegeta fall to his knees, and Androids 17 and 18 flew off to create more havoc and destruction.
"Vegeta! You didn't have to do that!" I yelled.
Gohan knelt beside him. "I can get you some senzu."
"It's too late, brat," he said slowly.
Bulma gave Trunks to Gohan and cradled Vegeta in her arms. "Don't die, please."
Vegeta faintly smiled. "Our son, he will be a great warrior one day. Take care of him. I love you, Bulma."
Bulma told him softly, "I love you too."
I cried. I couldn't save him, and I knew I was going to lose him again. "I take back everything I said about hating you. I love you, Vegeta."
Vegeta took my hand and placed it on his chest. "I'm giving you... something special... Hisui."
A bright light came from his heart, and a crystal appeared. "This is my heart crystal. It will redeem the darkest soul. Take good care of it. I love you too, brat. We'll meet again - remember, we're one of the same."
I felt Vegeta's ki fade, and he vanished. Bulma sobbed, and I hugged her. "It's going to okay, Bulma."
It's been two years since I left Capsule Corp. I miss Vegeta, but I know that I have to move on.
I'm a successful actress now, and I have a best friend named Leo who helped me get my start. He likes to practice martial arts with me; we play video games, read manga, and play with our action figures. He's kind of like brother to me; besides, right now, I don't need a boyfriend to weigh me down. I'm having too much fun!
Suddenly I awoke to a call at my mansion. "Hello?" I answered groggily.
"Hisui! I knew we'd reach you here. You have to be on the set in an hour. Don't keep Leo waiting!" my manager yelled.
I got out of bed and dressed, then ran down to sidewalk, where I knocked over some guy.
"Hey, watch out!" the guy snapped.
I yelled back, "Watch where you are going, you stupid baka!"
The blonde-haired man got up and flashed his blue eyes at me. "Miss, I am deeply sorry."
I stood there, mesmerized by those two deep pools of blue. "Denki?" I whispered.
He paused. "You said 'light' in Japanese. Do I know you?"
Our eyes locked. "No, I don't think so."
"I'm just an ordinary actress." I gazed at him helplessly. "You're the actor, Mark Hamill."
I felt a tugging on my arm. "Come on, baka, we have to go!" It was Leo.
"Okay, in a minute, you loudmouth!" I snapped as I began to push him away.
I gasped. "My apologies, Mr. Hamill, but I must go."
Leo and I raced away, leaving Mark to stand alone. I felt a wanting need to call out to him. Instead, he turned and walked away.
Tears flowed from my eyes, knowing that I will see Luke one sweet day.
