Kendren's Magical Powers

There was a knock at the door of the Jedi Temple. "I'll get it!" Mitsuko cried. She opened the door and looked around but there was no one there. "Hm..." The Swedish girl shrugged and began to turn around.

"No! Wait! Look down," said a voice. Mitsuko looked down to see a white cat with red eyes, a red star on its forehead, red feet, and a red-tipped tail. "Can you bring me to Kendren Antilles?" he asked.

"Oh - um..." Mitsuko thought for a moment. What did a cat want with Kirana's boyfriend? A talking cat, for that matter?

"It's very important," the cat persisted.

"Well... okay," Mitsuko said, letting the cat in. How much harm could a cat do anyway?

Mitsuko almost screamed as she saw the cat - now it was flying! "Sorry if I startled you," he said.

"It's... okay," Mitsuko said. This cat was definitely weird.

"Kendren?" asked Mitsuko, sticking her head into the Room Behind the Waterfall. "Someone wants to see you."

The white cat flew into the room. People ducked and others just stared. Starr and Pinku looked frightened.

"Yes?" Kendren said, standing up. His sword clattered against his leg. He didn't know what to do with it, but he was sure keeping it would be better.

"Kendren, I understand you recently obtained sword-fighting skills as well as magical powers when you switched bodies with a wizard," the cat said in his articulate voice.

Kirana began choking on her candy bar. "What? Magical powers too? Why didn't you tell me?" she asked. The rest of the senshi there were silent as they watched.

"I - I didn't know," Kendren said. "How did you know I have magical powers..."

"Oh, please forgive me. My name is Yume," the cat said. "And I have powers too. Not the Force, but magical powers. I can tell when other people have them. That is also why I am able to fly."

"So... what kind of powers do I have?" Kendren asked.

"You are able to cast spells and use magic," Yume said.

"Cast spells? You mean like how Viriato put a sleeping spell on Kirana? And how do I have this power if I only switched bodies with him?" Kendren asked.

"It's a strange phenomenon, but it does happen. I am here to train you to use your new abilities correctly. You will be a master sword-fighter and wizard," Yume said. Then he added sheepishly, "And I can also be your kitty..."

Kendren smiled. Yume flew onto his shoulder and purred.

"Hello, Yume-chan," Maho-Ryu said. The little blue dragon belonged to Kirana and always tried to make friends with the pets that weren't afraid of him.

"Hello," Yume replied. Maho-Ryu was glad to have another friend. He flew happily to Kirana, who petted him.

"Now we have even more cats!" Mika cried happily. Everyone stared at the Senshi of Cats and Clumsiness. "What?"
