The Day Mika and Chouko Lost It

"I've done it! I own a cabbit!!!" Mika shouted, jumping up and down. She held a small blue gray bundle high in the air. "You, Naoko, are a cabbit!" Mika laughed crazily.

"Mraow!" Naoko whined. "Meow mew!"

"Wait until Chouko hears!" Mika set down Naoko and ran to Chouko's room down the hall. Naoko ran away to find someone to help her out. She didn't want to be a cabbit! She couldn't even talk now!

She stumbled down the hallway. Another thing she hated about being a cabbit - the ears she kept tripping over!

A very confused Chouko opened her bedroom door to see a very hyper Mika.

"I've done it! Naoko is a super cute cabbit!" Mika exclaimed.

Chouko grinned, clutching her Ryo-Ohki doll tighter.

"Could you... make Pinku into a cabbit?" Chouko asked. Mika smiled even wider.

"In a snap. Now, Mihoshi, I think this calls for a celebration!" Mika stepped into the room. "Ya know what!"

Chouko grabbed Pinku and handed her to Mika.

"I'll meet you in your room!"

Ippin was quietly reading as she heard a pitiful mew. Figuring it was Starr, she said, "Didn't you get any food from the kitchen?"

"Mraow-raow! Meeeow!" Ippin looked up and almost fell over at the sight she saw - a real, living cabbit! Only, it looked very familiar...

"Naoko, is that you?" Ippin exclaimed. The cabbit jumped up and down a few times, mewing happily, before tripping on her ears. "What happened?"

Naoko sighed and meowed pathetically as Ippin picked her up.

"We'll get to the bottom of this." Naoko meowed quietly.

Mika answered her door as Ryoko and met Chouko dressed as Mihoshi.

"Where's Pinku?" Chouko asked. Mika held out a small pink cabbit.

"Ta da! A little pink Ryo-Ohki!" Mika gave Pinku to Chouko, then walked to her Tenchi poster and began talking to it. "Oh, Tenchi, let's travel the universe together!" She laughed.

"Ryo-Ohki, stay still!" Chouko exclaimed as Pinku struggled to get free. She escaped and ran down the hallway. "Ryoko, Ryo-Ohki got away!"

"Mihoshi, you weren't supposed to let her go! C'mon, we gotta get her so I can go into space!" Mika shouted. By now, she WAS Ryoko mentally. Basically, she and Chouko had lost it. Mika looked at the Tenchi poster. "I'll be back, Tenchi honey!"

She and Chouko ran down the hall after Pinku.

Yuki had joined the search for information on how Naoko turned into a cabbit with Ippin by the time Pinku ran by. Chouko and Mika were close behind, and they almost barrelled over Ippin, Yuki, and Naoko.

"Did you see what I just saw?" Yuki asked.

"You mean Mihoshi and Ryoko running after a pink cabbit?" Ippin said.

"Or Chouko and Mika dressed up as them and chasing Pinku the cabbit?" Yuki said. At once, Naoko mewed loudly and nodded.

"We're on the right track. Now, follow those psychos!" Ippin shouted. She and Yuki tailed MIka and Chouko.

"Mika! Stop! You've got to change Naoko back!" Yuki demanded. Mika whirled around and stared at Naoko.

"I am not Mika! I'm Ryoko!" Mika took Naoko and ran after Chouko and Pinku.

"Mika!" Ippin began to run after Mika. Yuki stopped her. "What? We've gotta go catch them!"

Yuki shook her head. "They've finally snapped, and now they think they're Ryoko and Mihoshi. Now, how do you lure Ryoko out of hiding?"

Ippin thought for a second, then grinned. "You mean -"

"Exactly. But who will do that?"

"The new guy."

"Oh Tenchi, you're so wonderful!" Ippin said rather unconvincingly.

"Ippin, you're supposed to be Aieka! And you're supposed to FLIRT with Tenchi, not drag him by his arm!"

Ippin let go of "Tenchi" 's arm and adjusted her purple wig. "This isn't as easy as it seems, KIONE." Ippin glanced at Yuki's costume. "You're supposed to be 'driving' the 'ship.' "

"Tenchi" sighed. "How did you talk me into this?"

"Hey, you practically volunteered, Link, so don't start whining," Ippin explained. She cleared her throat. "Now, we need to get Mika and Chouko over here so we can get them back to normal."

Yuki giggled. "Not that they ever were normal to begin with." Ippin began laughing as well. Link sighed.

"Now I know how Tenchi feels," he remarked.

"Ahem, now. Oh, Tenchi, you're so wonderful!" Ippin was much more convincing this time around. "And that Ryoko is just a jerk."

"Mihoshi! Where are you?" Yuki shouted loudly.

Mika heard "Aieka" flirting from across the Temple and ran as quckly as she could, Naoko in hand.

"Hands off, princess!" Mika shouted. Link stared for a moment.

"She does look like Ryoko!" he exclaimed. Ippin nudged him hard before stepping up to Mika.

"He's mine!" Ippin shouted. Mika shook her head.

"No way." She ran up to Link and hugged him tightly.

"Now, Link!" Yuki shouted. Link grimaced.

Just when it was getting good, he thought. "Sorry, Mika!" He splashed her with a giant bucket of cold water. Mika blinked, then looked dazed.

"Uh, where am... I?" Mika looked up to see Link staring down at her. She looked down and pulled her outfit around her chest a bit more. "Oops."

Just then "Mihoshi" ran down with Pinku in her hands.

"What is it, Kione?" Chouko asked.

"This!" Yuki picked up the other bucket of ice cold water and threw it on Chouko. She went through a confused stage, then she blushed.

"Um, Mika? We should probably change Pinku and Naoko back, too," Chouko said, embarrassed.

Mika cursed in her head. She was rather enjoying sitting in Link's lap. She didn't feel like telling Link she liked him yet, so she got up and took Pinku from Chouko.

"Dang," Link mumbled. He stood up and scratched his head. "Well, I'll be going then." He went back to his room to curse some more.

Mika changed Naoko and Pinku back to normal and got a mean scratching from Naoko.

Chouko laughed nervously. "Heh heh. Just how many people saw Mika and me running around the temple as Mihoshi and Ryoko?"

"Luckily, just some of the other senshi. Had you been running where some of the padawans could have seen you, it would be very hard to explain," Yuki said.

"Here, most of the senshi know you two are crazy and wouldn't think anything about it," Ippin explained.

"Well, I'm going to go change, so... yeah." Mika ran furiously to her room.

Chouko smiled. "Me too." She ran to her own room as well.

Ippin and Yuki laughed.

"At least these old costumes got some use," Ippin said, taking off her purple wig. Yuki nodded.

"Good thing Chouko had these in her closet," Yuki added. She took off the red headband she had on and twirled it around her fnger. "I hope they snap again sometime soon."

"Why?"

"Because it was fun being Kione, even for a second. Maybe next time they'll freak out as someone from Sailor Moon or something."

"Just as long as it isn't Pokemon," Ippin said.

"Don't give Mika any ideas. I don't want to end up as a, I don't know, a weird duck or something," Yuki said.
