The Kirana/Kendren Story

Written by Kirana/Sailor Omwat

The Mysterious Stranger

Kirana was completely and totally lost. She stared at the underground mazes of Coruscant, becoming even more confused.

Why did I ever agree to come here, anyway? she asked herself, sinking to her knees in dizziness.

Seiyun, Sailor Coruscant, had said something about "mysterious going-ons" that might involve a new enemy. Kirana REALLY wanted to see Coruscant, so she, Mika, and Koumi agreed to go with Seiyun.

She had ventured out from the place they were staying, and now she regretted it. And the worst part was that she was due for a formal dinner in an hour!

Kirana tossed her long, pearlescent hair and concentrated. Okay, she told herself, if I started on the third level, then went down... or was it the fourth?

Kirana sighed. She was so lost she couldn't believe it. Me and my curiosity, she told herself. I'll never get back!

Just then, she heard a rustling in the dark. She whipped her head around, breathing heavily. She thought she heard someone - or someTHING - breathing too. "Who's there?" Kirana called tentitavely. Silence. Only dark, lonely, silent silence.

She was beginning to walk away when a hand clapped over her mouth and a knife was pointed at her neck. Her indigo eyes widened with surprise.

"Don't make a move," said a man's voice with a Cajun accent. Kirana nodded her head in fear.

The man behind her spun her around violently and held a firm grip on her shoulders. He stared into her indigo eyes with his dark blues ones. He had dark red hair and a handsome face. He wore black gloves and a long trench coat. His muscular arms held Kirana tight, indicating that he was not about to let her go. "You'll make a nice prize, cherie," he said.

Kirana, paralyzed with fear, continued to stare into his eyes.

"You're Omwati, no?" he asked. Kirana nodded, still unable to speak.

Suddenly a voice cried, "Let go of her!"

Kirana and the man looked up. A young man was perched on one of the ceiling beams. He had dark hair with blond streaks and wore all white.

"Andrien!" Kirana cried, her voice returning.

"Whatcha gonna do about it?" asked the red-haired man.

"A lot," the young man replied, leaping down and kicking him in the face.

Kirana was free. She tore the chain with the pink pearl on it off her neck, held it high in the air, and yelled,"Omwat Power, Make UP!" With that, she became Sailor Omwat. She struck a pose in her purple, blue, and pink outfit. "On behalf of Omwat, you're punished!" she cried.

Then she added,"Super Slice!" Round blades appeared from nowhere, flying at the Cajun. He dodged them and ran down the dark hall.

"Andrien - is it you?" Kirana asked uncertainly. He LOOKED like Andrien, except that his eyes were green and Andrien's were gray.

The sixteen-year-old boy smiled. "Well, yes, in a past life. My name is Kendren Antilles, cousin of the famous Wedge Antilles."

"Thank you for saving my life, Kendren," Kirana said. Then she added, "Oh yeah. I'm kind of... lost."

Kirana and Kendren burst through the dining hall doors. "I think I know about the 'strange occurances' now, Seiyun," Kirana said. While Seiyun looked up the record of criminals on Coruscant, Kirana tried her best to describe her attacker.

"Okay," Seiyun said, but she was interrupted by a loud crash.

Mika looked up sheepishly. "Oops," she said, looking at her dropped plate.

"The records say this man's name is Kaden LeBeau. He was originally from New Orleans, Lousianna - you know, on Earth? Anyway, he committed a few crimes there, then came to the Snickers galaxy. He's wanted for just about everything," Seiyun said.

"Great," Kirana said, "and I was lucky enough to meet him."

He'll probably want YOU, Koumi pointed out. All eyes turned on her. You know, since you saw him and all, she added.

"Koumi's right," said Mika. "You'd better be careful, Kirana."

The Power of Love

"Kirana! Kirana!" cried Mika, shaking her awake.

"What is it?" Kirana mumbled. She realized there were tears in Mika's eyes. "Oh, Mika, what's wrong?" she asked.

Mika looked like she'd gotten ready in a hurry. Her hair was crooked. "It's Kendren," she said. "He's missing!"

Seiyun, Koumi, Mika, and Kirana assembled at the table. Kirana's purple astromech droid, R2-K4, bleeped alongside her.

"I'll search the galaxy if I have to," Kirana declared.

"I'll bet Kaden LeBeau took him," said Seiyun, "so he's probably still here."

"Even so," Kirana said, "if he's not..."

"We'll start tomorrow," Seiyun said.

"Tomorrow?!?!" cried Kirana.

"Well, we're not exactly sure what happend to him," Seiyun said.

That night, Kirana lay awake, worried. I hope he's okay, she thought. Tears came to her eyes. I just found him. It's not fair that I'm losing him so soon...

"Julio!" cried Kaden LeBeau. Where is that stupid assistant when I need him? he wondered.

"Yes," said Julio, a hunchback with virtually no brains.

"I want you to get the girl, comprenez-vous?" Kaden said, his eyes narrowing.

"What girl, master?" Julio asked in his insane voice.

"You fool! Have you been eating those mints again?" asked Kaden.

"Oh, I remember her," Julio said before he could get in trouble. "Blue skin, pearlescent hair..."

"Oui," said Kaden. "Now get her!"

About an hour later, Julio brought a girl in. "Hey stop, it will ya?" she cried.

"Mon Dieu! Who's this?" cried Kaden.

"It's Kirana," replied Julio.

"No it isn't," Kaden said, clenching his teeth. The girl had blue skin and pearlescent hair, but aside from that, she looked nothing like Kirana.

"Oh... but will she do?" asked Julio.

"No, she WON'T!" Kaden bellowed.

Julio cringed. "Sorry," was all he had to say.

"I'll get her myself," said Kaden, slamming the door.

"I wonder what HIS problem is?" said Julio.

Kaden ran through the night, his red ponytail and trenchcoat streaming behind him.

Kirana listened to the rain outside, feeling a bit more peaceful. The lightning flashed, lighting up a tall figure with red hair.

"Evenin', cherie," said Kaden.

Kirana screamed, and Kaden lunged at her. She was knocked out, and being dragged away...

She woke up in a cage. In the cage next to her was Kendren.

"Kendren!" she cried. "I'm so glad you're safe!"

"He's not safe for long, cherie," said a Cajun-accented voice. Kaden yanked Kendren out of the cage. "You're gonna be punished," he said, leading him away.

Kaden reappeared, a smile on his handsome face. "He's dead now, cherie," he said, "so now you and me can be together."

Kirana gasped. DEAD?!?! Could he really be...dead?

Kaden went to his room for the night.

I have to pick this lock, Kirana thought frantically. She finally got it open and began freeing the other prisoners. One of them was an old woman with a kind face. "Here," she said, putting something in Kirana's hand. "This amulet has healing power." The beautiful amulet glowed bright scarlet.

"Thank you," Kirana said.

"Setting people free, are we, cherie?" said Kaden.

Kirana turned around. "Uh..." she said nervously.

"Bad girls get punished, no?" he said, and she was sent to another dungeon. Lying in a heap on the floor was Kendren.

Kirana went to him. She stroked his streaked hair. She reached up to kiss him, but kissing Kendren's lips was like kissing ice. He was definitely dead. Kirana sobbed uncontrollably against his chest. She nearly died herself, the pain was so intense.

Then she noticed her amulet glowing. "Wha-?" Kendren began coughing.

"Kendren!" she cried. "You're alive! The old lady was right - it DOES heal!"

"I love you, Kirana," he said.

She smiled. "Me, too," she said.

Just then the door opened and Sailor Coruscant, Sailor Kessel, and Sailor Yavin IV walked in.

I heard you scream, mindspoke Koumi. So I told the others. We tracked you here.

"What about Kaden LeBeau?" asked Kendren.

"He went somewhere... but I don't know where. But he's on the loose," Seiyun told him.

"I'm glad I found you, Kendren," Kirana said. "I look forward to happy times with you."

Then they set for home, knowing they would never be apart again.
