"Hmm, I think it needs another line... here." Tashita was again drawing in the Room Behind the Waterfall after being chased out of the Room of a Thousand Waterfalls. She paused, smiled, and shook her head, the image still fresh in her mind.
Chouko had decided she wanted to test her artistic abilities, so she rounded up some of the pets in order to paint their picture. She had managed to gather a crowd of animals. On the backs of Kaze and Mystic, Chouko placed Maho-Ryu, Hiroko, and Starr (who demanded, in a nice way, to be in the picture). Puaru, Korin, and their kittens, Su- ching and Lothlorien wanted to stay on the ground. As Chouko was painting, some of the pets decided to move. Chouko wasn't happy; she scolded them and told them to hold still. Starr said, "You can't yell at me!" then jumped down.
Just as Starr jumped down, Eki sauntered along. That threw everything in a mess. All the cats ran every which way, trying to get away from the scary cat-eating lizard. Some of the pets had knocked down Chouko's canvas and paints. Chouko got covered in paint and so did some of the other pets. That was when Tashita decided to leave, before she wound up in the mess.
Tashita went back to her drawing. She looked at her drawing, analyzing it. "Something's not right." She held the drawing at arm's length and analyzed it again. "Hmmm, maybe if I draw the wings fanned out instead of folded up." She erased the wings and started over again.
All of a sudden, she heard a loud crash and girls screaming. Tashita sighed. "What now?" Into the room dashed a white blur followed by a pink and white blur. Underneath a table she spotted Riko and Pinku; something sparkled in their mouths. "Give those earrings back!!" yelled Tenshi. Five girls ran into the room, knocking over a couple of chairs. Breathless, they all scanned the room, and Yuki yelled, "There they are!" They all managed to knock over the table that Riko and Pinku were hiding under, only to find them gone. Tashita rolled her eyes and decided again to pack her things up and go somewhere else. As she was leaving the room, she heard the girls yell, "You two are not getting away from us this time!!"
Tashita again shook her head, but out of the corner of her eye she noticed Schylar, Ippin, Solai, and her mom, Priire. She stopped for a second only to hear them arguing. Annika and her cat, Usa-chan, walked up to them, and she overheard Annika say something about how pets are always annoying. Tashita saw Priire and Ippin nod their heads in agreement, and the arguing got louder. Tashita turned away with a sad look upon her face.
When Tashita got outside, her spirits lifted. She felt the warm rays of sun on her skin, and she wondered why she hadn't come outside sooner. The brunette looked to her right, and the scene before her eyes just made her miserable again. There, playing on the grass, was Mara with Marin, her dwarf lioness. Naoko, Mika, Suzue, and Mitsuko had joined them. A single tear escaped Tashita's eye. She longed for someone to talk to, to have fun with, to argue with, or just someone to be there. She didn't need another 'so-called' friend - she had enough of those. Friends saying they would be there, but ending up turning their backs on her; people that she called friends, but who ended up ignoring and scorning her. Tashita wiped another tear away.
She subconsciously headed to a park. She stopped herself. She wasn't really sure if she wanted to continue heading to the park or go somewhere else. She kept thinking of all the things that happened to her when she was in a park. That's where she had found out she was a senshi and that's also where she was reunited with her mom. She finally decided to go to the park because she loved parks.
She found a tree that had let enough sunlight through for her to finish her drawing. The brunette unpacked her drawing supplies and started redrawing the wing. She didn't get too far along when her memories from Earth came flooding back to her. She had tried to forget them when she came here, to the Snickers Galaxy, but she couldn't get rid of them.
She didn't really remember how she was forced onto the streets, but she knew having to live day by day. Tashita shuttered, having remembered how people treated her. Like she was some sort of animal, like a lowlife that didn't deserve to live. The people that she did meet and try to make friends with ended up leaving her. Leaving her during the night when she slept. She would wake up the next morning and find all her money and her few possessions gone.
Kalil. This name brought a smile to Tashita's lips. Kalil helped her survive the streets. He helped her learn how to fight. He was the only friend she had. His name meant 'good friend,' and that's what he was, a good friend. The smile on Tashita's lips turned back into a frown. She remembered he was still on Earth living on the streets while she was here, in another galaxy, living a good life. She also remembered she hadn't seen him ever since they had to split up to avoid the police. She delicately kissed her index and middle fingers and then held them up and away from her as if she was giving the kiss to Kalil. She also wished him the best, wherever he was. She felt more tears coming but forced them back. She turned her attention back to the drawing, but couldn't push the lonely feeling away. She thought, No one understands me.
I know how you feel.
With a confused look on her face, Tashita looked around. She saw no one. "Is anybody there?"
Yes.
"Who are... where are you?"
Follow your instinct.
Tashita quickly gathered up her supplies and started walking to where her gut feeling took her. She walked on down toward a lake that was located in the park. Tashita then found herself face to face with a dragon. Confused looks crossed both their faces.
This is the first time this has happened to me.
"What?"
For a human or anyone to understand and talk with me.
Still staring at the immense dragon, Tashita said, "This isn't real... but what is real, I mean I am here in the Star Wars galaxy."
If you are going to talk to me, please speak silently.
"Okay, how?"
Instead of using your vocal chords to communicate, just speak it in your mind.
Okay, my name is Tashita.
Mine is Myra, it means quiet song.
My name means silence or silent.
A smile crossed both Tashita's and Myra's face.
Oh, I have something I want to show you. Tashita got her drawing pad out and flipped to the drawing she had been working on.
I need to complete it, but what do you think?
I really like it!
You do? I was really having trouble with the wings. Hey, can you pose for me? That would be a lot of help.
Don't mind if I do, besides, the drawing of the dragon looks like me.
They both smiled again. Myra learned about Tashita, about how she came to this galaxy, how she was a senshi, and some of her past. Tashita learned about Myra, that she could change the color of her skin, that she could breath fire, that she could fly, and some of her past. Both their pasts were hard ones, but they both knew they would face their future together as friends.
