We Are Always Watching You

Written by Mizu Tera/Sailor Selonia

Having forfeited her spot on the sofa to one of the more animated senshi, Akegata stretched her arms wide and walked out to take in the beauty of the Room of a Thousand Waterfalls. Tiny aquatic mammals swam under floating water plants and played strange games with each other as she looked on. Something that resembled an Earth frog, only having seven legs, hopped around another frog in a weird dance. Mating ritual, maybe, she thought. The frog that appeared to be the object of affection turned up its little nose and swam away. Akegata laughed, catching her reflection in the sparkling water. She eased her fingers up to her face and stroked her skin; she looked at her eyes and hair and sighed. She didn't expect to like her form as much as she did; she would miss it.

The water usually obscured any sounds in the room, acting like private barriers, but Akegata had super-ordinate hearing, so it was no surprise when she heard minute, delicate laughs coming from just behind one of the smaller waterfalls. She peeked her head around and saw Annika sitting on a marble bench with Obi-Wan next to her. The Jedi Master was trying to kiss his girlfriend, with little luck. Annika giggled and turned her head each time he got close. Akegata watched as Annika giggled, "You're going to have to be faster than that!" Then she stood and ran back inside, Obi-Wan following her.

Akegata's silver eyes betrayed her cool exterior by budding with misty tears. Coming to the past was more difficult than she'd anticipated. She'd known of the things that already happened and were yet to happen here, in this time and place, but never the details. Her family never talked much about the past; saying it was always too painful to remember. Akegata could see why...

A voice buzzed in her ear, "They are close... you must find them. Find the Six Lights, before it is too late."

"I'm doing the best I can," she whispered an answer to the crisp, metallic voice.

"Try harder."

"I'm pretty sure that I know three of them, but the other three are elusive... still hidden."

"Your time is running out," was the last thing the voice said before the transmission ended. Akegata rolled her eyes and then pulled out an emerald-green notebook. She flipped through the pages and pages of information she'd collected on the senshi. Stats. Pages of stats, from love interests to favourite colours; she had every bit of information available, and some that weren't readily available. She had past lives, future lives, children, pets, fears, and dreams, recorded under each senshi name. She was fairly certain she knew who three of the Six Lights were; it was only the Warrior, the Siren, and the Golden Light that eluded her.

She scrutinised her notes closer, looking for any hints as to the other three Lights might be. The Warrior was one of two, but Akegata couldn't figure out which it was, the Siren could be five different girls, and the Golden had to be one of the Chibis. She already knew the identities of the Heart, the Hourglass, and the Child; she knew those within ten minutes of meeting them. Especially the Heart - she practically had it written all over her face.

The voice in her left ear buzzed to life again, "Incoming message from your friends at the Haven..." She placed her notes under her leg and tried to look inconspicuous while listening to the computerised voice that echoed in her mind. "I understand these are trying times for you, Tera, but we here at the Haven are trusting and understanding of your delicate position. You serve us well, little one - the Haven is generous with rewards for hard work. Find the Lights and exterminate them, before we exterminate you." The voice switched back to its regular inflection. "That concludes today's message. Remember we are always with you." The tiny click in her ear meant they were done with her for the rest of the day. Sighing, she went back to her notes.

The next day, Akegata found herself stalking someone. Someone she shouldn't have been: Nom Da'Gara. Stealthily blending into the melting pot of peoples in Coruscant was simple; it was even easier when one was a master of disguise. This time she was an old man wearing a long, grey overcoat and circular wire-rimmed glasses. Her small stature aided in her camouflage. Several people stopped and asked her for directions, which she gave willingly, all the while keeping one eye on Nom and her travelling companion, Priire.

Akegata had disqualified Priire as being one of the Lights earlier, so that just left Nom, who was staring at rows of carefully-stacked fruit. Akegata checked her memory database and knew that Nom was an excellent cook who liked to frequent the local groceries. With her Force shields raised, Akegata started across the street. She purposefully stepped out in front of the oncoming traffic, right into the path of a speeder.

Within moments, she felt herself swept into the strong arms of a certain Dathomirian and deposited safely next to the fruit stand. The round, green fruit seemed like the always-watching, never-blinking eyes of the Haven; Akegata's stomach rolled in disgust before her head cocked a crooked eye in the direction of Nom.

"Why, I can't thank you enough, young lady," Akegata said in a voice definitely not her own, the voice modulator implanted in her throat was capable of producing over fifteen hundred differently distinct voices. Nom looked at her sceptically with an eyebrow raised, pondering the situation.

"You seem familiar," the Dathomirian woman said questioningly.

"There are hundreds of men just like me. I work in the lower levels you see. Oh, you've probably seen all of my co-workers by now."

"I do not think that is it."

"Do you have another explanation?"

"No."

"Well then, I suppose it is a case of mistaken identity. Thank you again, but I must be on my way," chimed Akegata, disguised as the little man. Hobbling off down the street until she was out of sight, Akegata analysed the small skin sample she had procured from Nom's hand as she saved her from being hit by the speeder. The small computer in her brain worked fast and quickly came up with the answer needed. Nom Da'Gara was the Warrior - her genetic make-up was a perfect match. Old prophecies told of the Six Lights having slightly different blood, and so far all of them had checked out. She just needed two more samples.

For the next week, Akegata kept to her room typing into her computer and analysing information. The compu-link her left arm was hooked up to one of the many intricate communication systems in the Jedi Temple. With all the wiring it would be virtually impossible to track her movements through the circuits. She had been trained so well by the Haven that she was able to get in and out of any system, no matter how complicated, in a matter of seconds. "There it is!" she said happily as she downloaded the files she was looking for.

"Outgoing message to the Haven - this is Tera Mizu, serial number JET-999-101-PFY710," the little girl spoke. Three clicks popped in her right eardrum; the sound of the connection. Like clockwork, the voice came to life in her ear.

"Tera Mizu, you have been cleared to proceed with the transmission. Begin talking. Now."

"After several deliberations, I am now confident that the Heart is Annika Nesicha; the Child, Chirudo Nijihoshi; the Hourglass, Ippin Fuukou; the Warrior, Nom Da'Gara; and the Siren, Magena Ryo. Only the Golden eludes. I have now narrowed the options to three, and with the information I just downloaded, I hope to find her by the dawn. Come tomorrow night, the power of the First Realm will be no more. End Transmission." Tera waited for the standard three clicks to signify the implanted computer in her brain had gone offline, but it didn't come. She waited patently.

"Incoming message from serial number NTT-014-MIP775," the voice in her ear chirped.

"Hello, Nitika," Tera said calmly.

"Have you found them yet?" Nitika asked.

"I've only got one left. I'm not sure how I'm going to steal their power, however."

"So you're going to go through with it?"

"What other choice do I have?" Tera sighed. "Once I have their power, I can use it to save Her."

"You're crazy, you know? You think you can beat the Haven?" Nitika asked sarcastically.

"I have no intentions of destroying the Haven, but I can't let Her stay there... not like that. She deserves her freedom."

The soft music of laughter tickled Tera's inner ear. "I'm not happy about it either, but this is who we are. You shouldn't question."

"I'm not going to give up, Nitika."

"Okay. Did you need my help... finding the last Light?"

"No. But I will need help capturing their power."

"What about Kyuu?"

"Seriously? She's not pleased about being here, and she's not going to help. Her job is to guard me, until we return to the future. Why?"

"I want to help. If I stay here I'm just going to be sent to fetch Celeste again."

Tera giggled. "Gone again, has she?"

"Yeah. So what's new? I've already been cleared for passage... is 'she' there?"

"Where else would 'she' be?"

After a few minutes of silence, Nitika whispered, "I'll be there in a few hours."

The familiar metal voice clipped, "End Transmission," in Tera's ear.

Kyuu sat silently in her pilot's chair, carefully adding the final screws to her newest toy. She was well aware when a time portal opened behind her.

"Why are you here, Nitika?" Kyuu asked, never removing her attention from the small, round, metallic object in her hand.

"Tera asked for my help to capture the power of the First Realm. Is that okay with you?"

Kyuu laughed. "Why should I care? Just don't get in any trouble - I'm not here to protect you - you're on your own."

"I know. Still building thermal detonators?" Nitika asked after seeing Kyuu snap the timer into place.

Holding the little device in her hand, Kyuu raised it up and admired her handiwork. "Of course."

Tera crawled under her bed with a handful of cookies. A small silver wooden box had been deposited in the farthest corner and hidden behind a pair of stray socks. Tera keyed in the code, and the latch snapped open. Raising the lid, Tera looked inside and smiled at what she saw - a teeny-tiny, silver-heart-shaped-odango-haired girl, no bigger than an earth-sized hummingbird. The little girl flew around happily and chirped several times when she saw the cookies.

"You can't have all of these, remember? You get a half of one now, and another half later," Tera explained. The little creature smiled and nodded enthusiastically. Tera broke one of Nom's newest confections into pieces and crumbled it into small bits for the little faerie to eat.

A voice from the doorway asked, "What are you doing under the bed, Tera? Don't lie, I can see your thermal pattern."

Kyuu. Tera bit her lip when she remembered that Kyuu had received an upgrade to her optical scanners before they'd left, and she could now see heat signatures if she so chose.

"I'm," Tera stammered, "eating cookies."

"Under the bed? Is there any reason for that?"

"Yes. I stole them from the kitchen," the white-haired girl said. Technically, that was the truth; she had stolen them, only they weren't for her own enjoyment. Like a snake, Tera slithered out from under the bed and faced her bodyguard.

Kyuu ran her scanners over the other girl and, satisfied with what she found, she said, "Nitika is in the hallway. It's up to you to explain her presence to the other senshi."

"Wait! Kyuu! I need to tell you something," Tera hurried.

"Will it jeopardise this mission?" Kyuu asked, her back turned.

"Maybe. Possibly."

"Then, no."

Kyuu left, only to be placed by a smiling Nitika. "What's up?" the brunette girl asked, cheerfully.

"Well, to tell you the truth, I -" Tera stopped. Something flew past her line of vision and she cursed herself. "I forgot to re-latch the box! Quick, help me catch her, but don't hurt her!" Tera focused her ocular implants on the flying faerie. "Nitika, she's coming around at a forty-seven degree angle, position your hands - and be careful with her!"

"Okay!" Nitika said, and in one swift motion, she had captured the renegade pixie. "Oh! She's a little person!! Where did you get this?" she smiled.

Tera frowned, and scooped the creature into her hands. "Mother gave it to me."

"Mother?? What's going on, Tera? You can tell me," Nitika said as she watched her friend place the impish girl into a silver box.

"No, I can't."

"Why?"

"Because I don't trust you."

"You can trust me, I swear it! I won't tell anyone - not even Kyuu," Nitika said, desperately trying to impress the older girl.

Tera thought for a moment, and then, against her better judgment, explained everything to her nine-year-old friend.

In a room situated somewhere in the massive Jedi Temple, Annika was playing jacks with Nijihoshi. Annika was pouting because the little pearly-haired girl was winning.

"Sixes!" Niji shouted giddily. Annika scrunched her face up and tried to capture just two of the oddly-shaped pieces but failed miserably, and once again sent the game flying across the room.

Niji decided that playing with Annika wasn't as fun as she'd imagined. "I don't want to play anymore. Bye!" she yelled. Children were always brutally honest, but Niji had enough foresight to know not to hurt Annika's feelings. So without another word, the child skipped away from the room.

"Drats!" Annika whispered. "I bet I could've gotten twos next time!" If Annika had any real abilities in the Force, she would've known about the gloved hands that grabbed Niji the second she left the room, and the fact that Tera just entered the room. Of course, Annika only knew her as Akegata.

"Annika? May I talk with you for a minute?" she asked in a frightened voice.

"Of course, Akegata! What's bothering you?" Annika smiled with genuine concern, but the other girl shook her head.

"Not here. Back at the Room Behind the Waterfall."

"Oh. Okay!"

Tera solemnly led Annika across the Temple until they reached the unassuming waterfall that obscured the entrance to the Senshi complex. Tera grabbed Annika's arm and looked at her sincerely and with a bit of fright.

"I want you to know something. I didn't plan this, and I promise that if you cooperate, no one will be hurt."

"What are you talking about, Akegata-chan? You're scaring me." Instead of an answer, Tera turned and disappeared behind the waterfall and into the main room. Annika creased her brow and followed.

The main room was filled with a few senshi; Ippin, Nom, Magena, Niji, Yuki, Xarae, Asellus, Ame, Tashita, Nitika, and Obi-Wan was there as well. Annika looked confused until she saw Kyuu standing in the middle of the room, holding a thermal detonator.

"Glad you found the time to join us, Highness. This will only take a few minutes," Kyuu smiled. "There is no point in giving you the warning, since you are fairly Forceless, but... Do not try to retrieve this detonator with the Force. It is rigged with a remote control; I can set it off with the blink of an eye. Literally."

On instinct, Annika reached for her henshin brooch but was stopped by Tera. "Don't," she said.

Kyuu nodded her head. "Good. We're going to make this very easy. Tera, go get Tsukiko, and don't try anything funny."

"Who is Tera?" Xarae asked. The white-haired girl everyone knew as Akegata took a step forward.

"I am. That's my real name. And this is what I really look like," she said. She closed her eyes, and the figure of a little dark-haired girl appeared. "My name is Tera Mizu. I am Sailor Selonia."

"How did you do that?" Obi-Wan asked with his hand on his lightsaber.

"With this - Annika's Disguise Pen," Tera answered, removing a little wand from her pocket. "I don't understand why the Pen is still here - it should've disappeared when it got close to Annika's."

"I don't have one," Annika told her.

UsaNeko, who had been hiding in a potted plant, emerged to say, "Oops. UsaNeko forgot to give it to Annika-Sama."

Kyuu sighed. "I'm only holding a THERMAL DETONATOR here! Tera! Get the cat, now!!"

A few tense minutes later, Tera returned with a rather large, grey cat. A gold crescent moon shone on its head. The cat yawned and stretched in her arms. "Kyuu, if you'd just wait a few more days..." Tera tried to talk to her friend.

"No! I'm tired of waiting; I want to go home to the future now! Put that cat down and let it do what it is supposed to do!"

Tsukiko climbed gently down from Tera's embrace and turned its nose up at Kyuu. Then, slowly and carefully, she walked over to stand in front of Magena.

Annika started to panic. "Kyuu! Please, whatever it is, we can work it out! There is no need for violence... please!" she begged.

"You know something, Highness? When I get home, I'm going to get a promotion for this. And you're going to thank me, personally."

Tera shook her head. "No! Kyuu, there is something you don't know!"

The older girl laughed. "I know you're trying to screw up this mission! I know I want to go home to my husband! I know I want to get as far away from these people as possible!"

Tsukiko bent down, with her eyes locked intently into Magena's. A bright beam of silver light shot forth from the crescent moon and blasted into Magena's forehead. Annika gasped, and then suddenly the light stopped. Magena stood motionless.

"What did you do to her?" Yuki demanded to know. Kyuu remained silent, her eyes reflecting the silver light coming from Tsukiko's head into Nom. After Nom, the grey cat went to Nijihoshi, Ippin, and then Asellus.

"I knew it!" Kyuu yelled triumphantly, "I knew it was that golden-haired kid!"

Five sailors stood motionless and expressionless. The other people in the room looked on in horror; they were all confused and didn't know what to do. They couldn't transform, not while that thermal detonator loomed over them - they had no choice but to watch the scene unfold. Tera's eyes grew wide as her cat came to a final stop in front of Annika.

"No! Kyuu," Tera yelled, "you can't do this. You don't know something."

"What? What is it I don't know?"

"Annika isn't the head of the Haven."

Kyuu raised an arched eyebrow and stared at the little girl. "What? She's the Mother. Of course she is. She has just as much power as the Dark Princess."

"No! You forget, I'm Lamia's new assistant, I know things other members don't."

Annika's heart skipped several beats. "Lamia?" she half-whispered.

Tera continued her story, "I was cleaning Lamia's bedroom one day when I noticed a small crack in the floor. It opens to another room, a room that holds a cage. Lamia has Mother chained up inside... surrounded by Ysalamiri."

Kyuu's eyes grew round and large. She looked at Tera with a mixture of disgust and mistrust. "That's ridiculous! Akira would never stand for that, neither would -"

"Akira doesn't know!!" Tera said. "The Mother told me. She told me how Lamia kidnapped her one night and brought her there. The Ysalamiri are not to keep her in, but to keep a certain Jedi's spirit from entering. Every time he manages to appear to her, the Mother escapes. She's the one who told me that Akira doesn't know."

Kyuu frowned and rocked her head back and forth. "That's a filthy lie! You're a traitor to the Haven! You know the penalty for disobedience!"

"I'm not lying! Listen..." Tera swallowed as the voice modulator in her throat activated. " 'Incoming message from the Haven: I am the alpha and the omega. The beginning and the end. The first and the last. Good morning, Kyuu.' "

Everyone was shocked because the voice from Tera's mouth was not her own, but rather Annika's.

"Sound familiar?" Tera asked, switching back to her regular voice. "If I can do that, what makes you think Lamia can't?"

Annika was shaking. She hated to know anything about the future, and now she knew that she gets kidnapped, and that a spirit of someone is trying to appear to her. She didn't understand why Obi-Wan wouldn't try to rescue her, but maybe he was. Her brain raced with a million thoughts. Suddenly, one of those thoughts formed more clearly in her mind. The Mother...

"This has to be a lie!" Annika said almost hysterically. "I'm not the Mother, I'm still the Bride... because Oame wasn't born... so... this is all a hoax!"

Tera turned around to face Annika with a pained look gracing her face. "The Dark Princess is Oame. The Rebirth has happened in the future. The Haven is the partnership between the vampire clans."

"What?" Ame screamed. "How is that possible!" Inside her mind, Ame heard the sound of wind chimes and Oame's soft giggles. Ame squeezed her eyes shut and tried to control her emotions. If she couldn't, she would spontaneously transform into Sailor Chibi Serenity.

Kyuu pointed a blaster at Tera's head. "It doesn't matter! I'm taking the power of the First Realm with me! I'm going home, Tera!" She produced a black crystal from inside her jacket. "Their power is going in here; then there will be no more threat to us! No more damned Sailors trying to rescue her! They won't be able to use their powers to find the Mother!"

"I can't let you do this, Kyuu!" Tera said firmly.

"Fine then," Kyuu said through gritted teeth. She pointed the blaster at Annika's head. "Why don't we put her out of her misery now? I'll pull the trigger and it'll all be over - how is that?"

Without warning the sound of tiny wind chimes percolated in the air; their melody rose and fell, gaining momentum while remaining steady. Ame's mouth dropped open and she fell to her knees, and Annika fainted into Obi-Wan's arms.

A small silver space opened and a cold, shaking hand emerged from its centre. The hand grabbed Kyuu by the neck and threw her across the room. The hole spiralled larger and larger, until it was big enough for the small child to walk through.

She was no more than six standard years old, with long, silky, silver hair and icy silver eyes. She wobbled on her stick-like legs barely able to remain upright. Her breath was ragged and shallow, and she jerked about as if she had a short circuit.

"Oame," Ame whispered.

Tera, Kyuu, and Nitika fell to their knees and bowed their heads.

"How... dare... you... threaten... the life... of my mother," Oame breathed. Her voice sounded like a child's, except it was sinister and almost metallic.

"Forgive me, Dark Princess, I would never hurt the Mother. I was only forcing Tera's hand. She was going to ruin our mission. I couldn't let that happen!"

"I was not!" Tera yelled.

"Silence!" cried Oame.

The swirling silver hole behind her opened wider, and a stern-looking blonde man stepped out. "Mistress Oame! Why are you here? You are not supposed to leave your room!" he said with a Russian accent. Obi-Wan immediately recognised him as Dr Alexi Nemov, the psychic vampire that treated Annika during her pregnancy.

"Knight... Eckland... was mon... itoring them through his... Time Portal. He... informed me of... Kyuu's treachery."

Kyuu became defensive at the slander of her name. "I did no such thing. Perhaps Knight Eckland should go back to his own galaxy and we can find a different Time Guardian."

"You... back... talk... to me?" Oame whispered.

Kyuu inhaled sharply. "No! I apologise!"

"Your... mission has... nothing to do with... the Jedi... why are... you here?"

Tera exchanged looks with her friends, "We were supposed to steal the power from the First Realm."

"Your mission... was to steal... the early designs... for the Death... Star."

Kyuu narrowed her eyes and said, "Lamia told us that we were to steal the power from the Goddesses."

"What?" a voice echoed from within the silver portal. Akira Takahashi eased his way between Dr Nemov and Oame.

"Takahashi-sama!" Tera yelled. "Please, you have to listen to me! Lamia tricked us! She has the Mother trapped in a room beneath her own. Please! Believe me!"

Oame looked over to Akira, who nodded, then slipped back into the portal. Ame walked up to her sister.

"How?" was all she could manage to say.

Oame smiled. "I... told you... I would live... again. We are real sisters now."

"What do you mean? Annika gave up the power of Sailor Celestia - she can't create another body for you."

"She didn't... have to. There is such... a thing... as good... old... fashioned... reproduction."

"Lamia is dead! The part of her that was alive is already in you. And Obi-Wan has become one with the Force," Ame trailed off. When Oame smiled and chuckled slightly, heat engulfed Ame's neck; her skin prickled, and tears came to her eyes.

"I... told you... we're real sisters... now."

Ame flew into a rage. "What did you do to him? Where is he?"

Oame frowned, and small silver tears escaped her eyes. "He... died."

Ame bit the inside of her lip to stifle a scream.

A loud crash came from inside the silver spiral, and then Lamia came flying out. She landed with a loud thud onto the floor of the Room Behind the Waterfall. Her black hair was frazzled, and the peach-coloured nightgown she wore was twisted and bunched. She stood to straighten herself when she saw Oame.

"My precious little angel! What are you doing here?"

Akira said, "Tera was right. Annika is in a cage beneath Lamia's bedroom. She's not dead, but she's in some sort of trance."

A low, guttural growl escaped Oame's throat as she turned her stone-cold eyes to Lamia. "What did you do to her, mother?"

"Me? Nothing!"

Akira smiled and shook his head; "You are in a lot of trouble this time, Ibara."

"You told Mistress Oame that Annika didn't want to see her, when this whole time you were keeping her prisoner?" Alexi asked incredulously.

Lamia acted hurt and upset. "This wasn't my fault! I am doing this for your own good, Oame! Annika would only try to convert you to being something you're not - I've got to protect my daughter!"

"I... decide what is good... for me... you do not."

"Look at you! You're sick! You know that your soul is too big for this body! Once you grow, you'll be able to walk more, and you'll be able to see Annika."

"Don't... you dare... make assumptions... concerning my... health."

"How can you talk to me like that? I'm your mother! And you should be thanking me! If it weren't for me, you would still be in the Underworld! I'm the one who raised your soul and put it back in Annika's body! Me! I'm the one who tricked them both into conceiving your body - I'm the one who got rid of both of them!"

Oame and Ame glared at Lamia with contempt. Oame spoke. "You... told me... he was... dead."

Lamia stomped her foot, "Why am I being questioned! Okay! Fine! So he's not dead! A mining corporation on Kessel needed miners, and I needed him gone... but it wasn't personal! It was a business transaction!!"

"You sent my father to Kessel?" Ame railed.

"This time... you have... gone too far..." Oame said, her voice full of hate. "You know... I can send you... to the... Under... World... if I so... desire." A silver crystal appeared in her hand, and Lamia gasped.

"Please, darling, don't do this to Mummy! Think of how much I love you!"

Oame smiled, and then with a twitch of her finger, a black shadow was pulled from Lamia's body and into the crystal. Oame closed her hand and the object vanished. She turned to Akira. "Put... her body... in stasis... until I... think she... has suffered... enough." Following orders, Akira lugged Lamia's motionless body back into the silver hole - to the future.

"What... is wrong with... her?" Oame asked Obi-Wan Kenobi.

"I don't know - she's not responding to anything," he said, looking down at Annika.

Tera looked at Nitika, who nodded her head; then Tera said, "Dark Princess, the Mother foresaw this event and she gave me something that would help her."

Nitika took the silver box from a nearby table, and Tera unhooked the latch. The small faerie flew out and bowed to the room. Suddenly her form grew larger until she was the size of a four-year-old.

"My name is Akinna Amagoi. I am the most important part of Annika - the Love in her heart. Please, pray for rain." The little sailor-suited faerie smiled. She bowed again before turning into a silver heart-shaped crystal. It fell into Obi-Wan's palm.

Oame's posture stiffened and she turned to leave. "I don't... want her... to see me. Obi-Wan, take... care of my... mother. Or... I will... kill you. Kyuu... Tera... find... those plans. Nitika... are you returning... with me?"

"No, Dark Princess. I think I shall stay here for a while."

"Fine. And... girls? Never forget... we are... always... watching... you." Oame and Alexi disappeared inside the silver circle, and then it collapsed upon itself.

Obi-Wan took the crystal and touched it to Annika's heart. A bright light emitted from her forehead in the shape of a crescent moon. Annika's eyes snapped open, as did Nom's, and Niji's, and Magena's, and Ippin's; and finally, Asellus's eyes opened. Simultaneously, all six girls walked to the centre of the room and joined hands.

Nom said, "I am the Hope of the Celestial Angel."

"I am the Dream of the Celestial Angel," Magena said.

Nijihoshi grinned and said, "I am the Magic of the Celestial Angel."

Ippin winked, then smiled and said, "I am the Wisdom of the Celestial Angel."

"I am the Miracle of the Celestial Angel," said Asellus.

Annika closed her eyes and whispered, "I am the Love of the Celestial Angel."

Time seemed to stop. The room literally sparkled and shone like diamonds, casting beautiful shadows on the walls and into the eyes of those in the room. When the light died down, the six girls had been transformed into something no one had seen before. Nom was the first to speak.

"I am Sailor Dryadis Balae, a Guardian of the First Realm, Sister to Water, Air, Terra, Metal, and Fire, Heiress to the Renewal of Life, and Holder of the Castus Spes."

Magena took a step forward and said, "I am Sailor Kosmisira, a Guardian of the First Realm, Sister to Water, Terra, Metal, Wood, and Fire, Heiress to the Blessed Oracle, and Holder of the Dreamscape Pinnacle and Psychic Resolution."

Next, it was Niji's turn. "I am Sailor Lumina, a Guardian of the First Realm, Sister to Water, Air, Fire, Wood, and Metal, Heiress to the Prisma Chalice, and Holder of the Infinite Glory."

Ippin stood tall and said, "I am Sailor Tempestas, a Guardian of the First Realm, Sister to Water, Air, Terra, Wood, and Metal, Heiress to the Eternal Amphora, and Holder of the Immortal Enlightenment."

Asellus's gold hair glittered even brighter as she said, "I am Sailor Maxima, a Guardian of the First Realm, Sister to Water, Air, Terra, Metal, and Wood, Heiress to the Kisekiteki Hi, and Holder of the Eternal Miracle."

Finally Annika said, "I am Sailor Celestia, a Guardian of the First Realm, Sister to Air, Terra, Fire, Wood and Metal, Heiress to the Sacred Grail, and Holder of the Blessed Divinity."

As one, the girls said, "We are the Goddesses of the First Realm."
