"My Queen, you called for me?" said Chrone. The once-light sailor had been turned to the Dark Side by Mystique's evil attack. Chrone had pledged allegiance to the Queen after her turning.
"Yes, I need you to go with Areil and start using our plan to destroy Asteroid and Yavin's lives," said, Kendra. The evil queen thought that her plan to destroy the young women was perfect. Destroying what they loved most and channeling their anger to the Dark Side would corrupt the Twin Guardians for good.
Chrone's smile was evil as she flipped a lock of her golden hair behind her shoulder. "Of course, My Queen. They will turn to us... or die!"
"And you want me to do what?" Priire asked, one eyebrow raised as she looked up from cleaning out the Black Fire Dreamer.
Chouko looked serious. "There's a Z-Files convention on Corellia, and I want you to get me their autographs."
A grin came over Priire's face. "Ooo...a hotel full of Z-File nuts all wanting the same thing... I just might have to use my blaster to get it..."
Chouko looked very nervous. "Uhh... don't kill the actors?"
"Never seen the show." Priire shrugged. "Don't know who they are."
"Never mind!" Chouko said.
Priire snickered as the girl walked off. The blonde pilot fished for an item that was just beyond her reach. When she did grab it, the blonde dropped it back. "Sithspit."
"What's wrong?" Ippin asked, leaning over her sister's shoulder.
The girl glared at her sister. "I was just cleaning out the Dreamer..."
"Found more of Chrone's stuff, did you."
A smile twitched at Priire's face. "She leaves more stuff around... I only wish I could yell at her for it."
"Kinda hard... since she is the incarnation of evil." Ippin tried to cheer Priire up.
It didn't work. "I feel bad about it... we got Tashita back. Why won't Kae come?" Priire groaned. "I have a bad feeling about this."
"There's a reason for that," Ippin said, holding out a piece of paper. "Look."
Priire took the paper and read it out loud. "Twins - we have to talk. Meet me at the Glittersim Cantina and prepare for a change of heart. Signed, Kaedama Chrone." Priire glared at the paper as if it would be able to answer her questions. "What the Sith does that mean?!"
"Wanna go?"
"Are you kidding?!"
One dark corner of the cantina held more secrets than anyone could guess in a lifetime. Kaedama Chrone's green eyes watched every being who entered or exited the cantina, waiting for someone. Two people, actually.
When they entered, the blonde and the redhead automatically moved over to the corner that held Chrone. They were drawn by the evil aurora that Chrone put forth.
"Kae?" Priire asked, standing half-shadowed by the dim light.
The Catharian human gestured to the bench. "Why don't you sit down."
Ippin and Priire sat beside her. "Why did you want to meet us?"
Their eyes had adjusted to the dim light by now, and the twins could see Chrone much better. The blonde had her long blonde hair in a long braid. The tie in the end was black, matching her black leather outfit. "I wanted to ask you a question..." Chrone's deceptive eyes were innocently sad. "...can we go outside?"
Priire glanced at Ippin to see what her twin thought. Ippin shrugged. "Let's go."
As the trio walked outside, Chrone ducked. This was good, because Sailor Sith Ayameru was standing right outside the door. The Sith slammed a heavy object into Priire's head, then swung it at Ippin. The twins never saw her coming.
"Uhg... I see stars..."
"You always see stars, baka," Ippin growled at her sister. "Stop yelling."
Priire groaned. "Did anyone get the number of the landspeeder?"
"Areil."
"Now," Priire grumbled, "why didn't I think of that?"
There was an evil laugh. "You twins need to watch where you're going. And never trust anyone."
Priire leaned up on her elbow and put a hand to her throbbing head. "Who the Sith are you?"
"Don't you recognize me?"
Ippin offered a bit of advice. "Step out of the shadows."
"Shut up!" the voice growled, throwing something at Ippin. Priire intercepted the item with a gloved hand. As the owner of the voice stepped out into the dim light, Priire frowned.
"Kae?"
"Sailor Sith Cathar," the blonde corrected. She stood with a leaf-topped staff in a sailor suit that was predominately black with only dark green on her gloves tops, brooch and tiara. It was a shocking change from her two-tone green and blue suit.
Priire's narrowed eyes looked the senshi over. "You want to explain this?"
The Sith senshi shrugged. "It's the reflection of my heart since I found my true self."
"Don't do anything you're going to regret, Aster," Ippin warned.
The blonde glared at her twin. "I'm not going to do anything I'm going to regret. I'm just going to go over there and knock some sense in to her scrambled little head."
"Try it," Cathar taunted.
"Asteroid Star-Force!" Priire shouted, transforming into Sailor Asteroid. Ippin followed her lead. "We are the Twin Guardians of Time and the Stars! We will bring you back!"
Cathar laughed. "You can't do anything to me here!"
"Asteroid Shower Power!" the Dark Sailor said, using her customary attack. Cathar yawned and blocked it.
Yavin's eyes were wide. "We are in so much trouble..." the guardian grumbled. "Yavin Core Pressure!"
The other senshi's attack did nothing more to Cathar than make her step aside. "Is that all you've got?"
"Starfire..."
"Yavin..."
"Surround!"
"Corusca Dust!"
Not even the combined attacks could match Cathar's dodging powers. "Passionate Death Embrace!"
The attack, reinforced by the Dark Side, chewed into the twins and caused them to scream in agony.
"You haven't finished us yet," said the now-angered Asteroid. She shivered as a shower of starlight sprinkled over her body, giving her wings as she became Guardian Sailor Asteroid. "I am the senshi of Redemption! And even if I have to kick your tail halfway to Earth and back, you're gonna get redeemed!"
"I'm not sure that's the best way to put it," Yavin snickered.
Cathar laughed. "It doesn't matter. Nothing will change me!"
"Ancient..." Guardian Sailor Asteroid said, starting an attack. She didn't have a chance to finish it as Cathar used her "Cat Claw Destroy" attack. Asteroid was thrown back, and reverted to her normal form. "Sithspit!"
The evil senshi in front of them grinned cruelly. She reached for Asteroid as the other tried to stand.
"Aster!" Yavin screamed. "Careful!"Open a Time Gate, Asteroid said, spicing the mind-speak with a curse. She's gonna destroy the star!
And you know this... how?! Yavin responded.
The other glared at Cathar. Guardian of the stars, remember? Trust me!
Yavin nodded and twirled her staff. A gate opened, unnoticed, behind Cathar.
"This is for the good of the stars," Asteroid informed Cathar as the Dark Sailor stood. Cathar looked confused until Asteroid planted a well-aimed kick on the other girl, sending her falling backwards.
The portal closed on the protector of Cathar.
"Where'd you send her?"
Yavin frowned. "I... uh... don't know."
"What? You're the Guardian of Time!" Asteroid shouted. "How are we going to get her back?"
Sailor Yavin sighed. "You said it was an emergency. So I acted."
The Dark Sailor shook her head ruefully. "So how are we going to get her back?"
"I don't know."
...five years later...
"Kousotsu... I have something to tell you," Priire said nervously.
"Who's that?" the man asked, looking at the tan-furred felinoid kitten attached to Priire's leg. The little cat had tanned fur, silver hair with black tips, and spots on her upper right leg.
"Mommy!" the cat-girl announced.
Priire grinned. "Yeah, that about covers it."
Kousotsu blanched. "Please tell me that's not..."
"Eriya!"
Kousotsu looked for the origin of the new voice. Walking into the room was a woman with dark brown hair that faded to black on the underside. She has deep green eyes and an annoyed look on her face. "Eriya! Why are you pestering Priire?"
"She asked me too," the kitten said, her sparkling dark green eyes full of mirth.
"Oooh, that calls for payback." Kousotsu laughed at Priire. "You're a pain."
Priire took a bow. "Thank you, thank you..."
"Ham," another voice commented. It belonged to a handsome male in a nice shirt with a tie. He had his hair slicked back.
Priire wrinkled her nose. "Kae, what did you do to him? Man, someone light a match! Let's see if he goes up in flames!"
"Priire, don't make me hurt you," Chrone said.
"You just try..."
Kousotsu shook his head. "You two are worse than teenage guys. Don't get blood on the floor... Priire." He turned to the other man. "My name is Kousotsu. Who are you?"
"My name is Van D. Fanel, Chrone's husband."
Just at that point, Mori and Yuki walked in. "Her husband?" Mori said. "How romantic! Is Eriya your daughter?"
"Yes."
Mori was about to comment that the little girl didn't look like Von, but thought better of it. The kitten launched herself into Yuki's arms and there her paws around Yuki's neck. "You smell like cookies! I want a cookie!"
"No cookies!" Chrone said, grabbing the girl by the scruff of her neck. "You'll ruin your dinner. And I'm sure Nom has something wonderful fixed."
Eriya brightened. "Meat!"
"No... vegetables!"
"DADDY!" Eriya protested as the trio walked out of the room.
Yuki looked a little confused. "What just happened here?"
It took Priire a moment to gather her thoughts coherently. "Apparently," the blonde explained, "Kae got zapped to Earth. Pluto just brought her back. Coru had asked the other guardian to be on the lookout for her after what happened five years ago. Something... happened in this galaxy, and Kae got pregnant. She married Von, had Eriya Starlight Fanel, and came back." Priire snickered. "Apparently, she also invested in artificial intelligence."
"Huh?" Mori looked confused.
"She's a brunette," Priire explained. "She used to be a blonde."
Yuki laughed. "Bad Priire... so, do you know anything else that happened?"
The ex-mercenary shook her head. "No. I guess she'll tell us when she gets ready."
Chrone laid her head on Von's shoulder. "I'm glad I'm back here with the senshi."
"Is it home for you?" Von asked, curious.
She grinned. "Home is anywhere you and Eriya are." She sighed. "You know, Von, I would never have come back if it hadn't been for Eriya."
As Chrone fell asleep on his shoulder, Von looked up to the ceiling and whispered quietly, "Thank you, Eriya Starlight."
