Once upon a time there was a little planet known as Earth. On this planet was a warm, sunny, and otherwise uneventful and boring land called Southern California. Specifically, there was a quaint, humdrum suburb there, nestled in one pocket of the valley, where five best friends lived. These best friends were very close and shared an intense love-obsession for Star Wars and the media phenomena known as Sailor Moon.
Of these girls, the first was Kyoko (Naboo), who looked a little like Natalie Portman and acted a lot like Queen Amidala from the Phantom Menace.
Then came Kirin (Hoth), who was a cool, reserved 16-year-old girl, but for all her reservations, was easily distracted by hunky guys. She had light ice blue hair and eyes to match.
Third came Zyta (Tatooine), who was originally from Beerwah, Queensland, Australia but had moved to California at the age of 13, where she had met the others. At her birthday party they had brought over the original Star Wars trilogy for her to watch, and ever since, had been hooked. Zyta was now a friendly, outgoing 15-year old, but with a tendency to be impatient. She was blonde, her hair worn short in an almost boyish fashion, and had sapphire eyes.
After her came the auburn-head Kumo-chan (Bespin.) who wore her tresses braided up Leia-styple from "The Empire Strikes Back", and had eyes the color of the sky. She was a hard-worker at just 15 years of age, but had a sense of humor that sometimes went a little over the edge. One day while she was watching The Empire Strikes Back and talking on the phone with her friend Kyoko, she paused the tape in shock! She swore she had seen herself in the crowd in cloud city. Kyoko, who was still on the phone, told her that she was just hallucinating, but Kumo was determined to find out what was going on! So she called all her friends and asked them to watch and see if they saw her, but none of them did. "But it's that girl with the loopy hairdo and the Sailor-Moonish outfit on!" And still, no one saw it!
Finally there was also Hisui (Vjun), a talented young actress who had moved from New York in search of better opportunities this side of the Rockies. Perhaps to even star in one of the upcoming Star Wars Episode Movies!*
Their parents would joke about how no one would ever want all five in one house at one time! The five girls told each other their secrets, and even finished each other's sentences!!!
Then, one day the five were strolling home from a afternoon out (they had
caught an early showing of TPM, stopped by the toy section of Wal-Mart, and
hit the bookstore to pick up a couple of Jedi Appreantace books). Just
outside the bookstore, a mysterious vendor had set up shop, selling strange
curio items that looked like they might have come from the Mos Espa
marketplace (if there was ever such a place). With the vendor was an
incredibly realistic Naboo animal, a miniature dewback. The dewback
fascinated Kyoko (the Amidala look-alike), and she stopped by to ask the
vendor where he had found such a creature (then telling the others to go on
ahead. She'd catch up later.)
The vendor, who was dark and handsome, did not reply at first, but instead,
the dewback did! The dewback told Kyoko of her true powers as Sailor Naboo,
one of the scouts destined to save a galaxy far far away. Kyoko, however,
did not believe the animal, it was too weird! She left.
Later that night Kyoko had a dream, it was shared simultaneously by her four
other friends. In this dream, the real Queen Amidala appeared to them. Kyoko
and she bore a striking resemblance (of course!). And so Queen Amidala
spoke: confirming what the dewback had previously spoken. Kyoko was Sailor
Naboo! And her friends were Sailors as well! Tatooine, Hoth, Bespin (???)
and Vjun. And Amidala continued to unravel the truth: for years these girls
had been under the surveillance of chosen protectors, who had played the
role of their parents.
But now the time had come for them to fullfill their destiny as protectors
themselves, protecting Amidala's galaxy! For earth was already safe,
protected by Sailor Moon and her gang (the fact that Sailor Moon was real
and not just a TV series came as a revelation to the girls).
Amidala needed these bold new sailors, they were her only hope! The evil
Sailor sith were already posing a major threat! So Queen Amidala showed them
how to do the Sailor Jedi transformation, and took them away from earth and
brought them to the Star Wars universe, (at a time taking place right after
The Phantom Menace.)
Even as they arrived at the palace of Naboo, the evil Sailor Sith attacked!
This sinister sith sisterhood was lead by a girl named Kuogo Adal, the evil
Queen. She had long white tresses and wore a slinky black dress with a slit
up the thigh. Her second-in-command was Ayameru, who had her brown hair tied
back fighter-fashion, and was dressed in red and black. Following these two
were Sith Eimin and Sith Iyagaru, and last but not least, there was Hidama,
with reddish-orange Lara Croft-like ponytails and flashing aquamarine eyes.
This girl, like her Mistress Kuogo Ada, wore all black, which suited her
short temper, among other things, well.
Realizing the attack, the five Star Wars Sailor Senshi and the jedi at Naboo
(Obi-wan, Yoda, Windu, etc…) joined together as one force and came to the
rescue! But things got tough, and no one knew who was going to win! It was
at this time that Sailor Death Star came to the "rescue"! But she was really
an experiment made by the Sith girls. So she was not really a human, but
an android.
And Sailor Death Star fooled the good Sailors and the jedi into thinking
that she is on their side. Little did they suspect the truth…
As the Sailor Star Wars episodes continued, and as Anakin's Jedi training
increased, the growing-boy-with-a-dark-future decided to return to Tatooine.
He hoped to find his mother and free her from the nefarious Toydarian,
Watto. While sipping drinks (milk, water, juice, that sort of thing!) at
the Mos Eisley Cantina, the Sailor Jedi ran across Numa-chan, who they would
soon discover was also a Sailor in the making. Sailor Dagobah!
Numa-chan was a short girl, with a smooth, fast tongue (although with Yoda
verb-inversions), a morbid sense of humor, and a talent for numbers. She was
not entirely human, with a vague green tint to her skin and pointed ears.
Her long moss-green tresses were tied back in a pair of low, yet spunky,
wiry pigtails and her eyes gazed out a deep brown. She was around 18 years
of age, making her the oldest so far.
In yet another Sailor Star Wars Episode, the Sailors and a jedi with blue
eyes, planned to leave on a Corellian craft: The Black Fire Dreamer. It was
piloted by an ace named Priire, a pretty blonde with eyes the color of the
sea. In the moments before take-off, Priire ( a story-teller if ever there
was one) was quick to entertain the Sailor Scouts and the jedi with the
story of her life (as well as brag about her craziest piloting maneuvers.)
Despite her generally cheery disposition, the poor girl had had a tragic
past. Orphaned at an early age, she had been taken in by an aunt. The aunt
had then died due to mysterious illness, so Priire was taken in by another
aunt. And so on, and so on, she was shuffled back and forth among extended
family members, until eventually she ran off to become an asteroid miner.
As a miner, she learned everything there was to know about piloting. Once,
she was even rescued by a jedi from a mining accident. However, what she
didn’t tell the Sailors was that at some point in her past she had also been
a part of the Red Haze, a mercenary group, where she had earned her weight
as a master strategist.
Priire also bore a mysterious tatoo.
So, back to the episode in general: Upon reaching Dagobah, the group, consisting of Sailors, Jedi and the pilot, was attacked! In the midst of battle, the Jedi with blue eyes realized that Priire was a Sailor as well: Sailor Asteroid!
In another episode, we meet Ippin, Priire’s friend. She had once been a trainee at the jedi academy, but due to her inability to pay attention, she fell behind in her studies, and eventually decided to leave and head off on her own. Then, in the midst of something akin to an identity crises, she managed to become pilot. As a pilot, she ran into Priire (during Priire’s days as an asteroid miner), and at which point they became great friends. In this episode, however, Ippin becomes a newly discovered Sailor: Sailor Yavin!
In yet another Episode, the Sailors went to the capitol of Hapes, where they
met a girl named Kristin, the daughter of a second cousin twice removed who
is the daughter of the Queen's favorite aunt. Kristin had always been a
very sweet and kind person, despite the fact that her whole life people had
been trying to turn her into a ruthless politician. She rebelled and both
befriended and joined the Sailors, as Sailor Hapes.
However, she was then kidnapped and turned evil through brainwashing. She,
of course, eventually escaped the evil (Possibly Sailor Death Star?) and
became Sailor Hapes again. However, when she had been brainwashed, she had
lost part of her personality. Her Hapan background took over and soon she
only cared about getting into power.
Having then become a sly and clever traitor, she planned to remain friends
with both the light and dark sides of the force. In this way, she could
pretend she was really on both sides, while she was actually waiting for
both groups to wither away in defeat, so that she might strike, killing them
all.
Her true ambition was to become sole ruler of the galaxy!
On a happier note, Sith Hidama eventually turned to the light side. She remained a quiet girl, however.
And still many episodes later, it was discovered that Kyoko and Queen Amidala were actually the same person, but each from a separate universe (Kyoko from Earth’s, Amidala from Star Wars) and this proves rather interesting and useful knowledge.
All the Star Wars Sailors eventually become rulers of their destined planets (except for Kyoko and the planet of Naboo, perhaps??) For instance, Kumoko became the young ruler of the planet Bespin. At this point in SW history Bespin was habitable, but it was known for it's constant cloudy and foggy weather. It was peaceful though... for the while...
